How does a Twitter discussion compare to a BlackBoard Discussion? To an in-class discussion?

There are many ways to have several discussion can happen between a class of college students. A twitter discussion allows many to post a short discussion or in case a short main point. Quick and sample, it can be share instantly and been seen by everyone, letting them know through a notification. Other users can replay and reshare with other people, in turn creating a long discussion thread but with short posts. Unlike Twitter, in a Blackboard discussion is similar to the Twitter format it allows replays and creating a tread, however there is no character limits for each post. As a result, Blackboard posts are longer, more in-depth analysis and more information with links and details. 

In the end of the day, social media discussion can't be the same as in-class discussion, as everyone can response right away, debates can happened, and ideas can be added or supported by other people at the moment. One-on-one interactions allows others to listens and grow their understanding in the moment.
